Easter

Welcome to ChilternEats a campaign following my family’s experience of preparing, cooking and eating healthy food.  The blog will follow our endeavours to eat healthy, local and seasonal food.

This week is dominated by Easter so healthy has to some extent been abandoned in favour of chocolate and my children’s desire to make Easter eggs!  We spent a happy afternoon melting chocolate to make small solid white and dark chocolate eggs and painting larger moulds to make larger hollow eggs.  It was great, if sticky fun which was enjoyed by all.  Here are some pictures.

Obviously they needed to be tested and I’m pleased to report they tasted pretty good.

From next week I am going to be putting up a weekly meal plan with recipes, pictures and more.  In the meantime have a lovely Easter.
