This recipe is from one of my favourite recipe books, Harumi’s Japanese Cooking. It is a great recipe book, full of spectacular looking and tasting recipes. I really recommend her books, they make Japanese food really accessible. Below is a picture of my much used copy. I have also found an interview with Harumi in The Telegraph which includes the recipe. I have made this dozens of times over the years, here is a picture of my latest version which I added mini corn and asparagus to in order to sneak more vegetables into my children!
